Recently diesel prices have risen and, at the end of September, have hit the highest national average since December 2014. The U.S. average price for a gallon of on-highway diesel recently rose to $3.40, an increase of 2.1 cents over the previous week. Fuel prices have been steadily increasing since near the end of 2020. With the increase in fuel, the trucking industry has been scrambling to keep pace and adjust with these changes. As fuel prices go up, the price of shipping is expected to rise as well.
As we have seen, imported products are already hitting major delays and this might allow for some much needed 'breathing room' that domestic production and manufacturing companies have needed. We have continually monitored the issues we have seen and kept pace to ensure you get the products you need.
